Maybe my answer is off-topic... If you want an "animation" which is basically a display of different plots, why not doing like in W.Stein youtube video :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhirRHCW1q0 Just stop near 0:30 and you can read code : a function computing a plot and saving it to a png file, and a ffmpeg conversion to a video file.
