Hello, I've spent a considerable amount of time looking, reading posts, and attempting to read the manuals. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to accomplish what I wish. I use Python, R, and Octave -- I invoke the command interpreter on the DOS command line. I can enter commands interactively. I can also write prIograms using a text editor, import, source, or load the programs in the command interpreter, and execute the programs.
I'm new to sage an d new to virtual box, and (quite frankly) don't know what I'm doing. When I open VirtualBox, I see a Sage7.2 VM. When I start that VM, I get a Jupyter Notebook. I cannot for the life of me seem to be able to invoke the command interpreter I've tried repeatedly pressing Rt-Ctl, F-1 (which is what the instructions say to do, but that does not work. How do I get to the command interpreter in Sage running on VirtualBox? Here are a couple of screenshots.
