Please provide more details about your MacOS version etc. Our "app"
version of Sage on MacOS is outdated,
due to lack of developers who know about details of the platform.

E.g. if you have MacOS 10.14 I recommend to use
sage-8.6-OSX_10.11.6-x86_64.dmg (from one of the mirrors, e.g.
http://mirrors.mit.edu/sage/osx/intel/)
install it, and launch Sage from terminal.
(./sage -n jupyter)
