Hi,

That sound like great fun (Irony may accrue). :)

Do you by any chance have a guide for doing it with Chromium instead, and
getting Sage to accept that as its default browser (not default system
browser).

(I might have written this once before, but it does not seam to come up, as
an already written message)

Kind regards,
Jesper

Hi

You can try this
https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2022/04/how-to-install-firefox-deb-apt-ubuntu-22-04
Get the syntax right or you might break your system's package manager.

Jan

I am so sorry Jan, your are right it is not 20.00 I am just getting a
little old. I am on 22.04.2 LTS.

I looked into the case you suggested, but I don't see this as the same
problem. Since in my case it make the files and the web browser launches
and tries to read the file (It just can't / don't have permission).

I tried with your Chromium trick, and got the same result. However, it did
look like it installed it with Snap as well as my Firefox is.

Best regards
Jesper

Hi

20.04 (not 20.00) is a little old version now. I have had debian and/or
ubuntu not plot interactive plots (or sometimes 3d ploits)
in the packaged versions, in which case we install sagemath from source.

First check if your issue is related to this TMPDIR issue?
https://ask.sagemath.org/question/68014/no-3d-graphics-with-sage-98-using-conda-forge/
(Isolate a firefox issue from a sagemath issue by trying chromium, also try
your plot on https://sagecell.sagemath.org/ )

Jan

I am having trouble getting plot3d to work on Ubuntu 20.00 with Firefox
(newest) downloaded from "Ubuntu software" (Ubuntu's software centre).

Firefox browser say that it can't see the file:
<>
File not found

Firefox can’t find the file at /tmp/tmpf_qc7k5b/tmp_3nwc11rr.html.

Check the file name for capitalisation or other typing errors.
Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.

Does anyone have experience with this or is it a bug?

Best regards Jesper
