Update: I installed "patch-2.7.6" in my user directory. Then tried to "make
configure" sage again. I get this error message:

File "/Users/tessa/sage/sage/build/bin/../sage_bootstrap/tarball.py", line
189, in download

raise FileNotMirroredError('tarball does not exist on mirror network')

sage_bootstrap.tarball.FileNotMirroredError: tarball does not exist on
mirror network

Error: downloading configure tarball failed

make: *** [configure] Error 1

Which seems, more or less, to be the same error as before. Not sure what
I'm doing wrong. Is there another folder where I could install the patch?
