I have a new version of gap at
http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/wdj/patches/gap-4.4.12.p1.spkg
which also has the new guava in it. The good news is that it seems to
install okay. Bad news, it is huge (about 25M) and I don't know what I
threw in there to make it so big. I just swapped the old "src" with the
contents of the gap package, removing prim, small, trans, some pdfs_dvis,
and some tst files. I think the old one was around 8M.
It is transferring now, so the above link should be good in 10 minutes or
less.
