Hello,
I agree with what you said.
As you mentioned it is hard to deduce a threshold that is going to be good
for all platforms (and times) so I suppose we could simply add an optional
argument for the user to specify which algorithm to use. We could then
also add the even faster triangle detection algorithms based on
probability.
