 Also, there appears to be a related problem at Trac
 [http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/13445 13445]. There, if I run
 S.hecke_polynomial(29), I get a "RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth
 exceeded in cmp".
