In fact, I think that !MathJax is only designed to handle math mode, so we
shouldn't expect `\texttt` or `\textsf` to work, or `\emph` in text mode.
(Sphinx won't even call !MathJax on text not between single backquotes,
i.e., on non-math.) Using `\emph` in math mode is not very common, so I
suggest not worrying about it.
