 I'm not expert enough in iterators to answer. Furthermore, the backend for
 graphs also constructs sets:
 {{{
 def iterator_nbrs(self, v):

     return iter(set(self.iterator_in_nbrs(v)) |
                 set(self.iterator_out_nbrs(v)))
 }}}
 I don't know the reasons behind but this can certainly be
 improved/simplified.
