Question about the way to proceed:
This ticket provides the debug version of the python spkg, and it has a
positive review. However, in the debug version, Sage does not even start.
So, shall we open a new ticket "Make Sage start when Python is build under
SAGE_DEBUG", or shall we try to resolve the starting problem ''here''?
I suggest to keep it here, thus changing the status into "needs work".
