Just a hack, I removed the test for distutils in configure.
The problem is that the bad test is in the macro AX_PYTHON_DEVEL which
also defines needed stuff.
Not sure if we can replace this macro by other macro defining what's
needed.
Another solution is to report that "upstream" whereever upstrea autoconf-
archive is.
