 Patch ready for review.  Basically we double the working precision while
 computing each archidean component of the height, and this suffices.  I
 had to add prec as an alias for precision for CDF (as it already was for
 RDF), and a couple of doctest outputs had the last digit changed by 1.
 There are doctests to show that the problem is fixed.
