Is this reproducible? I just tried it, and didn't see that behavior, so
it may be a timing issue somewhere (which would be nice to find, but
potentially quite hard).
> Doing the same with a .txt.zip file will import the worksheet, but not
open it--instead the .txt.zip file becomes the top item in the list of
active worksheets (which is acceptable behavior, probably). .sws and .txt
files are both imported and opened.
I just checked the notebook code and it doesn't open the worksheet in a
zip file because there can be many of them in the zip file so it doesn't
know which one to open.
> Attempting to upload a .sws.zip file from the sagenb interface results
in the error "There was an error uploading the worksheet. It could be an
old unsupported format or worse. If you desperately need its contents
contact the sage-support group and post a link to your worksheet.
Alternatively, an sws file is just a bzip2 tarball; take a look inside!"
The problem with .sws.zip files seems to be outside the scope of this
patch.

relevant to this patch is the .txt.zip issue, and that's merely slightly
suboptimal and not a real problem.
