This was just my attempt to give a one-paragraph introduction of what the
Jacobian is; I'm aware (and do say) that it is not 100% mathematically
waterproof. How about I add a sentence that I'm just talking about CC
here. I think we should at least give some idea of what a genus-one curve
is thats understandable to somebody who is not a algebraic geometer or
number theorist...
