Ok, looking at the patches again I think it is obvious that we need to
review
* new-macros-with-jsmath.patch
* 5555-second.patch
only and can ignore the others as indicated. I am actually for merging and
reviewing this one instead of merging #5700 now as a stopgap, so
reassigned without any guarantee which one will go in.
