#14305: bug in simplify_radical
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
   Reporter:  zimmerma  |             Owner:  burcin
       Type:  defect    |            Status:  new
   Priority:  critical  |         Milestone:  sage-5.9
  Component:  calculus  |          Keywords:
Work issues: | Report Upstream: N/A
  Reviewers:            |           Authors:

   Stopgaps:            |
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
 in Sage 5.7 we get:
 {{{
 sage: (x^2).simplify_radical()
 x^2
 }}}
 This is wrong (consider x=-1 for example). Even:
 {{{
 sage: assume(x<0)
 sage: sqrt(x^2).simplify_radical()
 x
 }}}

 Note: this invalidates a whole part of our book (in french) about Sage at
