The need for a GNU make is already documented in the source install guide,
of course it would be nice to add pointers on how to actually install it
on FreeBSD.

But first it has to build mpir, and unfortunately the standard gcc that
comes with FreeBSD-8.x broke. I haven't tried clang which comes with
FreeBSD-9.x. gcc46 was capable of building mpir, but it seemed like a bad
deal to build gcc46 just to build one of the prerequisites for building
the sage version of gcc.

When I have some time, I'll try to build Sage 5.10 with the new ATLAS and
