Yes, I did not consider the pdf docs.
If I understand correctly, we have two problems. The first problem is that
with this patch, `LaTeX` is produced that can not be processed because it
is two deeply nested. The second problem is independent, namely if latex
fails, then the docbuilder hangs.
Do you have any clue what object is being processed when things hang?
