About the names for the macros: how about `pari_catch_on()` and
`pari_catch_off()`?
Advantages:
- not too long
- reminiscent of `sig_on()` and `sig_off()`
- do not suggest that the sole purpose is handling signals (as opposed to
PARI errors)
