Yes, it is exactly as I suspected: libreadline does not link against
libncurses. In fact, the terminal handling stuff is in libtinfo (part of
ncurses), this is why the `-lcurses` is a no-op when linking libreadline.
I've updated the readline spkg to link with `-ltinfo`, this is the proper
thing to do. While I was at it I removed various old cruft.
