Just a random rant on this closed ticket: not building the readline static
library makes python fails to build on Cygwin.
Ok this is without doubt because of python build system as it does not
manage to find the specially named shared libraries on cygwin (note that
when shared and static are installed, gcc will be smart enough to pick the
shared one first, so this really is a python issue which fails to detect
the shared one...).
