Interesting. I just started to look at #4656 again this morning. And then
I discovered this ticket. The problems there would get solved partially by
this solution here and conversely, the problem there to fix it are with
the supersingular case tested in this one case. Of course, I offer my help
with this as I am at the origin of the code that causes troubles.
