 Hmm. At a second thought, let's leave the branch as it is; the extra
 commits it has incurred (probably through my careless handling of the
 develop branch) are from #15822 which is positive_review.

 Anyway, what remains to be done here is a review of the changes pertaining
 to the seminormal form, and of my latest commit (cc05d00).
