Yep, I figured out later how to get your branch to compile, so I provided
the change

It should be safe to delete the line
{{{self.__name__ = self.__repr__()}}}
now.
I haven't looked into much of the details of this; I mainly checked to see
that translation to/from maxima_lib was done properly (and I think it is
now).
