 Not done. Your first sentence still shows indecision on exactly what to do
 and why to do it.

 Why is the burden on me to explain why it is useful? The burden should be
 on you to first explain that this is harmful. Judging from the mailing
 list and what I know, I think this is useful. Be careful when publicly
 doubting someone's intellectual honesty. There is a fine line there. You
 might want to take a breather.
