 I feel like this is the same issue as #15309, in that calling `DAD([])`
 makes it so that no coercions can be added dynamically (up to doing
 something extreme like overriding `_coerce_map_from_()`). So either we
 need to have better hard-coded coercions (which is the best solution, but
 the most work) to changing the doctests to mask this.
