I suggest that we do the minimum here so that the plot ticket can be
doctested.
Fixing this entirely looks like a lengthy procedure, which someone very
familiar with the coercion framework should do. I suspect there should be
one big fix that should happen only in `Function` or `BuiltinFunction`
such that it fixes all the other trigonometric and other functions.
