Oh darn. Touching this exclude this has opened up a full set of bugs. I
have fixed the `exclude is not != None` kind of stuff but the parametric
plot stuff is a different beast.
The problems with parametric plot appear mainly because of a disconnect
between the actual data points on the graph and the exclude points -- the
exclude points are not the actual data points (that appear on the plot)
but are actually the values of the parametric variable.
