Yes, to draw them - I had to construct a bunch of hypergraphs based on
pictures and it was a nice check to see that everything was done
correctly. They were quite small and simple, so your code worked OK for
me.
Given that even for regular graphs it is hard to automatically produce
"the best" or even just "an OK" picture, I doubt that this can be easily
done for hypergraphs ;-) Perhaps 3D plots would work better, if we had a
nice renderer.
