In the previous comment I was talking about vector-valued linear
functions.
For matrix-valued linear functions you get the coefficient matrices in the
usual way:

sage: m = x[0] * matrix([[0,0,1],[0,1,0],[1,0,0]])
sage: m.dict()[0]
[0.0 0.0 1.0]
[0.0 1.0 0.0]
[1.0 0.0 0.0]
}}}
