Yes, absolutely one can do that, as long as it's clear why and related to
the original thing. For instance, often a ticket will start off as "fix
trivial error in foo - easy" and by the end become "rewrite entire
functionality of bar" which then happens to have fixing the trivial error
as a corollary - because that was the only way to fix the supposedly
trivial error!
