Comment:
I really think more doctests are needed, also over rings which are not
`ZZ` or `QQ`. Perhaps `GF(3)` and `RDF` and `ZZ['t']` to have some wider
coverage?
And you should use the {{{:trac:`16803`}}} syntax to refer to Trac tickets
(but given that this ticket has nothing to do with division of matrices,
perhaps it makes more sense to just remove that comment).
