Comment (by rws):

 However, this will yield the same result unless the `log` has `conjugate`
 associated with it. This shows your recurrence is actually correct but
 numerical results derived from it by substitution may need a warning about
 the log branch. I know not enough about calculus, maybe I'll ask again,
 this time on sage-devel, if there should be a switch for `log()` to select
 the branch in case of numerical evaluation. What do you think?
