Also, if `bound` is of type `mp_limb_t`, then the following check is not
needed at all:

mpz_init_set_ui(tmp, bound-1)
ln = mpz_sizeinbase(tmp, 2)
if ln>mp_bits_per_limb:
raise ValueError("The integer bound {} does not fit into
{}".format(bound, mp_bits_per_limb))
}}}
