Comment:

 On sage 6.5beta1 I get
 {{{
 sage: solve(a==0,diff(f,x).subs(e))
 [D[0](f)(e^t) == -t*e^(-t)/f(e^t)]
 }}}
 so I think this problem has been resolved. Do we close it as (now)
 invalid?
