Comment:

 I completely forgot about this ticket when I reported
 http://sourceforge.net/p/maxima/bugs/2850/  Maxima (and we) need better
 documentation about this stuff.  That said, I may have changed my mind
 about this.  Maybe we can make `taylor` clearly only Taylor or
 something...  Incidentally, someone said that another name for these
 series at singular points are Frobenius series.
