A corrected jmol is available here
http://chapoton.perso.math.cnrs.fr/jmol-14.3.11_2015.01.14.tar.bz2
A branch to use that version of jmol is available under the name
`public/12212-experimental`
It seems inded to solve our problems. This probably needs more testing.
Upstream is waiting for our feedback. One can hope that this will get into
a stable release.
