Doctests should help tracking bugs, not hide them (last commit). Last
digit noise is ok but 0.990010459847588 should not be considered as a
correct 32-bits approximation of 0.997997869801216, this is too much noise
and there should be a bug somewhere. Since the ticket is closed, there is
a followup at #17903.
