Yuck. It's a good illustration of the general confusion caused by the
current behaviour of `var`. Reading the IPython documentation,
{{{
,var x a b c
}}}
is equivalent to
{{{
var("x","a","b","c")
}}}
which happens to do almost the same effect as the other `var` command
given, except that the second form consists of a value returning
expression and the first form is a non-expression statement that does not
return a value (and hence prints nothing in the REPL).
