We have the following strange (wrong) behavior:

sage: f(x) = 2*x
sage: bool(f == 2*x)
True
}}}
On the other hand we have
{{{
sage: f(x) = 2*x
sage: g(y) = 2*y
sage: bool(f == g)
False
}}}
