 That wasn't '''too''' bad. I removed all of the unnecessary restrictions.
 The only ones that remain avoid (guaranteed) infinite loops. Almost all of
 the code is in sanity checks, error reporting, and tests.

 Once I refactored for `strictly_convex`, `solid` wasn't so hard anymore.
 By putting everything in a loop, it makes it easy to throw the current
 cone away and start over. We therefore don't have to try too hard to fix
 an unpromising cone.
