 Just look at the diff. Many of them are still there. I will provide a
 commit for gettint rid of them later on if you do not succeed.

 Might be cool to do more declaration in `src/sage/matroids/matroid.pyx`
 {{{
 cdef list T = [...]
 cdef list L = [...]
 cdef int r = 0
 }}}
 As a consequence, calls like `T[i]` gets much faster.
