 I can confirm that the patches apply without problems on Sage 4.1.1.

 it now as it only concerns two hunks.  Otherwise, I don't mind.
 I got the hunk failures because I first applied the patches at #6531 and
 #6850 prior to applying the patches on this ticket. The patches at #6531
 and #6850 substantially modify the module `sage/rings/ring.pyx` and the
 patch `trac_6441_a_rings.3.patch` also adds more stuff to that module. An
 easy way to resolve dependencies is to wait for Sage 4.1.2.alpha0 to come
 out and then rebase your patches against that version. Or you can try to
 first apply the patches at #6531 and #6850, then rebase your patches on
 top of those.
