P.S.: ''Part of'' the weird `.so` versioning (2.7.0 vs. 2.7.1) is due to
superfluous trailing whitespace in `Makefile.am`, causing wrong arguments
to libtool (corrected for libgmp in 2.7.1, but not libgmpxx).
