I guess the question is whether we really want widespread use of a hack
that does large-ish string processing at each import (including during
Sage startup).
An example for how to do things right is
http://docs.astropy.org/en/stable/nddata/index.html, the auto-generated
class table at the bottom is created only once while running sphinx to
build the docs.
