Comment:

 I tend to agree with the points that Burcin made.

 It seems a better way to implement this within GiNaC would be to have a
 class parallel to fderivative which just stores the (evaluated) function
 as well as the list of symbols.  It is trivial to go from this data
 structure to partial derivative one.
