 Why would you like to make cholesky work only for sparse matrices. The
 following works fine
 {{{
 sage: m=matrix(ZZ,[[2,1],[1,2]],sparse=True)
 sage: m.cholesky()
 [ 1.414213562373095?                   0]
 [0.7071067811865475?  1.224744871391589?]
 }}}
 Of course the output should always be dense but it makes sense for the
 input to either be sparse or dense.
