incompatible with the older version of "as" that ships with, for example,
10.9.
Using binaries compiled for OS X 10.11 on OS X 10.9 is not supported
anyway. So, for me, this is still a "wontfix"-issue.
I suggest that you write to sage-devel about this, explain the problem and
the proposed solution.
