Guys,
no one wants to add -pg to the default options for Singular and no one
did! Most Singular libraries are built in several flavours as explained
above but not all of them are used of course. It's the build of an unused
library that is going wrong.
There is a discussion on this issue on [libsingular-devel]:

where Hans Schönemann suggested to patch omalloc. It is still puzzling why
the build breaks now since IIRC nothing changed in that area.
